Man accused of breaking into under construction Vermont home

A Granville man is accused of breaking into a Vermont home that was under construction, and planned to steal tools.

Peter Marshall, 37, broke into the home under construction on Route 30 in Wells, investigators said. Witnesses spotted him on the deck and contacted police.

They had first noticed him causing a scene by yelling at Cones Point Store, investigators said.

Marshall was charged with burglary. He was released on an appearance ticket and due in Vermont Superior Court Rutland Criminal Division on Sept. 30
