The mother of the pilot who died in a plane crash in June was at the airport to see an exhibition of her artwork and poems.

Natalie Gillis died when her single-engine plane went down just after takeoff on June 17, crashing near the Colonie Public Library and near many homes.

A wall of Natalie’s work is on display at the Million Air terminal.

Natalie, 34, was from Canada and was a pilot, poet and photographer.

Her mom, Mary Gillis-Yap, and two close friends visited the display.
