Baseball Hall of Fame to induct three new members in Gloversville

The State Baseball Hall of Fame Museum in Gloversville will induct three new members Saturday.

The State Baseball Hall of Fame Museum in Gloversville will induct three new members Saturday.

Ed Charles, a major-leaguer who played for both the Miracle Mets and the Athletics, will be inducted.

George Burns, a native of Gloversville, who played for the New York Giants in 1910, will also be enshrined.

The third inductee is Zip Northrup who played 33 years on integrated teams. The induction ceremony is at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 31.
