Delmar walk raises money for pancreatic cancer research
Hundreds of walkers in Delmar came out Sunday to raise money and awareness for pancreatic cancer research.
There was a great turnout at the 21st annual Lustgarten Foundation Walk for Pancreatic Cancer Research.
It’s organized by Shari and Neil Piper, who know firsthand how devastating pancreatic cancer can be.
It’s the third-leading cause of cancer-related deaths in the United States, with a five-year survival rate of 13%.
Money raised from this walk will support research efforts.
Local leaders came out to support the event.
