New York’s top judge is out with new COVID guidelines for court staff, judges and members of the public who have court business.
In a taped message, Judge Janet DiFiore announced starting September 7, all non-vaccinated court employees will have to submit to weekly testing.
Vaccinated staff will not be tested, but can get an orange ID card showing their vaccinated status.
If you have business at the court, you will need to show proof of vaccination or wear a mask.
She says the mask policy along with other health and safety protocols could be adjusted as circumstances warrant.
In other court news, Judge DiFiore announced a new juror instruction video that will be shown to every prospective juror in New York. It explains what implicit bias is and how a juror may have a bias or stereotype and not realize it.
