Police: Troy teen caught with loaded gun twice
A 17-year-old was arrested Wednesday for allegedly possessing a loaded gun for the second time in Troy.
Officers were patrolling the area of North Central Troy after a recent shooting. They found a person standing with a group of people who they thought had a handgun. He ran away after police approached but was caught nearby.
He had a loaded gun with 25 rounds of ammunition, police said.
The juvenile was arraigned on two counts of criminal possession of a weapon in the youth justice system and sent to a juvenile detention facility.
This is the suspect’s second gun arrest.
