Happening two weeks from now, a golf tournament is being played in Colonie in honor of a local woman who dedicated more than 40 years to critical care nursing.

Janice L. Peak passed away from ovarian cancer in 2021.

Shortly after, a scholarship was created to help local students who are pursuing a nursing career.

New this year, the golf tournament will help raise money for the Janice L. Peak Memorial Scholarship.

It is happening Saturday, September 28 at the Town of Colonie golf course.

It will be a fun day of golf, food, raffles, and more.
