A cancer survivor from Wilton is celebrating the sweet success of an ice cream fundraiser.

As NewsChannel 13 reported last week, Joyce Casertino, who has battled ovarian cancer, was putting together a fundraiser at Gavin Park in Wilton. Held under bright blue skies Saturday afternoon, the benefit for the ovarian cancer research alliance raised more than $6,000 with donations still coming in.

Casertino was thrilled with the turnout and hopes to make it even better next year.
