Members of the AARP are calling for more funding to support older New Yorkers.

They gathered outside the governor’s mansion in Albany on Tuesday.

They want her to increase funding for essential non-Medicaid, in-home services for older adults who want to stay in their own homes, they said.

Too many older adults are on wait lists for in-home services, and that this is a result of years of inadequate funding by New York state.
