There could be a verdict in the Rensselaer County ballot fraud trial on Tuesday.

NewsChannel 13 has been following the trial for the past two weeks, and now it’s in the hands of the jury.

The prosecution claims Richard Crist, Jim Gordon, and Leslie Wallace conspired to intimidate Rensselaer County employees into signing absentee ballots. The former officials then allegedly handed the ballots over so that they could fill in their preferred candidates.

Prosecutors said those public officials had the power to fire or discipline for non-compliance.

NewsChannel 13s Dan Levy is in court. We will have updates on WNYT.com this afternoon, and our later newscasts.
