Albany Police investigating gunpoint robbery on Second Avenue

Albany Police tell us they are investigating a gunpoint robbery that happened Friday night on Second Avenue.

It happened at the M&D Market at 190 Second Avenue.

Officers say they responded to the scene around 10:55 p.m. for reports of a robbery.

Store employees told officers that two males, believed to be juveniles, had entered the store, one of them armed with what appeared to be a shotgun.

They told police that the armed suspect pointed the weapon at the employee and demanded cash from the register.

Police say the employee complied with the suspect, and the two males fled the store with the cash.

Authorities say no injuries were reported during the incident.
