Family able to move back into home following fire in Waterford

WATERFORD, N.Y. (WNYT) – The F.B. Peck Hose Fire Company said they responded to a structure fire before 9 p.m. Friday night on 10 Fairview Avenue.

Chief Gardner confirmed that it was heavy fire from a three-car garage behind the home.

A nearby railroad was shut down to stop trains from passing by while crews battled the fire.

There were no injuries to anyone or any damage to the actually home.

The cause of the fire is still unknown.
