Glens Falls man severely hurt after crashing truck into dump truck

A Glens Falls man ran a red light and crashed his pickup truck into a dump truck.

The crash happened around 6:50 a.m. on Route 9 around the Exit 20 of the Northway in Queensbury, police said.

Chris A. Morris, 42, was speeding north on Route 9, witnesses said. He went through the intersection, and hit a dump truck that was getting off at Exit 20.

Morris was not wearing his seatbelt. He was taken to Albany Medical Center with life-threatening injuries.

The driver of the dump truck was not hurt.

The cause of the crash is under investigation.
