Albany Police investigating stabbing on Orange Street
Albany Police say they are investigating a stabbing that happened on Orange Street early Sunday morning.
It happened around 2:25 a.m.
Officers say responded to the 300 block for reports of stabbing, and upon arrival, they could not locate a victim.
Despite not being able to locate the victim on the scene, they discovered evidence consistent with an individual being stabbed, said police.
Albany Police say several hours later, Albany Medical Center staff notified them that a 47-year-old male entered the emergency room with a stab wound to his face.
Police were able to determine that the stabbing happened on the 300 block of Orange Street near Lexington Avenue.
Authorities say the victim was treated at the hospital for non-life-threatening injuries.
