Flags on New York state buildings were being flown at half-staff Monday to honor the victims of the attack on Israel.

State landmarks were set to be lit up in yellow to mark the anniversary.

In the Capital Region, they include the H. Carl McCall SUNY building, the State Education Building, the Alfred E. Smith Building, the Empire State Plaza and Albany International Airport Gateway.

Governor Kathy Hochul released a statement saying in part:

“New York stands with Israel — today and every day. As the home of the largest Jewish population outside of Israel, we will do everything in our power to defend against the forces of hatred and stand firmly against those who perpetuate it.”
