Thirty-two firefighters who died in the line of duty were honored in Albany on Tuesday.

Their names were added to the New York State Fallen Firefighters Memorial, which now includes the names of more than 2,500 fallen heroes.

Lt. Antonio Delgado said a few words at the ceremony.

“I hope deeply that you find comfort not only in the beauty of your memories with these brave individuals, but also in knowledge that your loved ones left an indelible mark on the lives of so many,” he said.

The memorial at the Empire State Plaza in Albany was dedicated and unveiled in 1999 with the names of 1,800 fallen firefighters.
