Less than 20% of insurance companies cover pricey weight-loss drugs

Less than one-fifth of large companies in the United States cover the popular, but pricey weight-loss drugs Wegovy and Zepbound in their health insurance plans. 

That is according to a survey published in Health Affairs.

Among the large firms that do cover them, one-third said the coverage has a “significant impact” on their plans’ prescription drug spending.
