Winter’s Dream won’t return to Lake George this season.

It was a light and sound show that was meant to attract tourists to the region.

However, Winter’s Dream closed early last year because of the mild winter weather.

The attraction has been paused, according to Mayor Ray Perry.

“The number one question people ask me is what’s going to go on this winter, and also the number one suggestion is an ice skating rink,” Perry said.

This is the third winter-themed event in less than three years to leave the village.

Ice Castles was a predecessor to Winter’s Dream. It ran for two winters, but also caved under warm winter weather.

Another unique experience created by the company that created Ice Castles, Winter Realms, announced in June it would also not be returning.
