A friendly competition between the city of Schenectady Police and Fire Department has just wrapped up.

The departments took part in the Battle of the Badges.

The competition is part of a blood drive.

The agency that has the highest volume of donated blood will claim bragging rights.

The idea came after both departments wanted to host blood drives.
