‘No pain, no gain’ may be harmful for some

No pain, no gain may not be true for everybody

No pain, no gain may not be true for everybody in working out.

Is the saying “no pain, no gain” actually true?

Trainers have said for years that to get the best results, gym-goers have to train “until failure,” meaning until you can’t physically can’t do anymore.

Now, recent studies suggest that may be not the case for every gym-goer.

One trainer said those who work out regularly would benefit from an intense session, but in extremely rare instances, overdoing it can be harmful, leading to a potentially fatal condition called rhabdomyolysis, where damaged muscles begin to break down, possibly causing kidney damage.
