Walk to End Alzheimer’s in Queensbury raises at least $170K
The Walk to End Alzheimer's was held in Queensbury over the weekend. At least $170,000 has been donated, with more on the way.
More than $170,000 was raised in a walk to end Alzheimer’s on Saturday morning.
The walk was held at SUNY Adirondack in Queensbury.
Hundreds of people held flowers in the air, representing people who are living with or caring for those with Alzheimer’s or dementia.
Todd Shimkus of Saratoga Springs, who lost his mom, Amy, to Alzheimer’s, was the top individual fundraiser, raising $10,000.
