Cuomo denies any wrong-doing following AG’s report

Gov. Cuomo is denying any wrongdoing after a report from the state Attorney General’s Office found he sexually harassed multiple women.
The governor says his attorney has responded to each of the allegations listed in the report, and he states the facts are much different from what has been portrayed.
"I want you to know directly from me that I never touched anyone inappropriately or made inappropriate sexual advances," the governor said. "I am 63 years old. I’ve lived my entire adult in public view. That is just not who I am, and that’s not who I have ever been."
Gov. Cuomo says Charlotte Bennett’s claim bothered him the most. He says Bennett identified herself to him as a sexual assault survivor.
He says Bennett’s story resonated deeply with him because one of his family members is a survivor of sexual assault.

"I did ask her questions I don’t normally ask people. I did ask her how she was doing and how she was feeling. I did ask questions to try to see if she had positive, supportive dating relationships. I know too well the manifestations of sexual assault trauma and the damage it can do in the aftermath," the governor said.
"I thought I had learned enough, and had enough personal experience to help her, but I was wrong," he added.
Cuomo says Charlotte read into his comments and drew inferences that he never went. "Simply put, they heard things that I just didn’t say," Cuomo said.
He apologized to Bennett for brining his personal experience into the workplace.
Attorney General Letitia James says the investigation is complete, and any next steps would fall to the governor himself or state lawmakers.
Gov. Cuomo released the following video statement in response to the AG’s report. It says in part:
