Three charged in multiple Saratoga County thefts
State Police have arrested three men in connection with numerous Saratoga County thefts.
Schenectady residents Johnson Gooden-Prunty, 30, and Olijajwuan Sheppard, 24, and Syiheed K. Jean Louis, 26, of Waterbury, Connecticut are facing charges that include burglary, multiple counts of criminal possession of stolen property and criminal mischief.
The investigation started with a burglary complaint on Aug. 10. Gooden-Prunty and Sheppard allegedly forcibly entered a home in Saratoga, causing damage, and stole items. The victim did not know either suspect.
Another incident occurred in Wilton on Aug. 30. State Police said all three entered the attached garage of a home. Sheppard allegedly entered the victim’s vehicle. Police were called and they ran away and were not found.
All three also allegedly stole items from vehicles in the Wilton and Northumberland area on Aug. 29 into Aug. 30.
Gooden-Prunty is being held on unrelated charges in Saratoga County Jail. Sheppard turned himself in on Oct. 13. He was arraigned and released under the supervision of the Saratoga County Probation Department. Jean Louis was released on his own recognizance.
Gooden-Prunty and Sheppard were arrested last month on other theft charges.
