Doctors at RPI are working to fight blindness-causing diseases.

It’s a collaboration with Columbia University to develop to treat dry age-related macular degeneration.

RPI and Columbia have received a more than $6 million grant to conduct the research.

AMD is the leading cause of blindness for people 60 and older in the United States, the researchers said.
