Albany has issued more than 17,000 tickets for school zone speeding cameras. The new speed zone cameras outside Albany schools have resulted in 17,184 tickets since they went live early last month, according to the city treasurer.

Tickets are issued to people who go at least 10 miles above the 20 mph speed limit.
As NewsChannel 13 reported last Monday, nearly 13,000 tickets were issued in the first 10 days.
