Malta Market 32 wants to stuff school bus to help others for holidays
Price Chopper-Market 32 is back at it ahead of the holiday season.
The 2nd annual Stuff the Bus has started in Malta.
Customers packed a full-sized school bus at the store ahead of last year’s Thanksgiving. The store is hoping the generosity will carry over as the need at local food pantries continues to grow.
Market 32 has pre-made bags you can purchase, or you can put the donation items together yourself.
It’s all going to the Franklin Community Center, which helps people across Saratoga County.
“These are record years of people who are in need and this food really goes a long way,” said Paul Colwell, a Market 32 store manager. “It kind of hits home when you think about children don’t know where their next meal is coming from.”
The program at the Market 32 in Malta runs through November 22.
