People gave some help to their ‘Friends’ at blood drive

People have a chance to donate blood to get some “Friends.”

The American Red Cross and NewsChannel 13 have partnered for a blood drive. The kickoff was held Monday at the Lynnwood Reform Church on Carmen Road.

Those who donated blood received special socks that were based upon the Thanksgiving episode of the television show “Friends.”

The special “Friends”-themed blood drive is in honor of the show’s 30th anniversary and are continuing through Dec. 8 while supplies last.
