Stuyvesant Plaza hosting big tree lighting ceremony

Kick off the holiday season at Stuyvesant Plaza this weekend.

A tree lighting ceremony is taking place there this Saturday night, Nov. 23, from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m.

It will take place on The Lawn, a new turf area in front of Jean Paul Spa and Salons.

The event will offer live music, hot cocoa and even have Santa Claus.

Stuyvesant Plaza will offer a horse-drawn carriage ride from noon until 3 p.m. each Sunday.

Those rides kick off this weekend and run through December 22.
