Wilton man’s freestyle biking career in high gear

Christian Arehart is considered one of the best freestyle mountain bikers in the world. He's back home in Wilton, preparing for a big show at MVP Arena.

A young man from Wilton is soaring to new heights on his bike.

Christian Arehart, 22, is a freestyle mountain biker and now a world record holder. The 2021 South High grad has been doing tricks on bikes for as long as he’s been riding them, but his most recent accomplishment shocked even him.

It started with an idea that Arehart had, and after several months of training, he cemented his name in the record books earlier this year in Oklahoma, when he launched into a quadruple backflip on his mountain bike.

Arehart will be performing Wednesday, Nov. 27 as part of the Nitro Circus at MVP Arena in Albany.

Check out some of his amazing tricks by watching the video of Mark Mulhollands story.
