Six apartments opened in Albany Tuesday morning to support veterans.

The Clinton Avenue Veterans Apartments is for veterans who have experienced homelessness. These new apartments are at 290 and 292 Clinton Ave.

The development of the apartments involved the renovation of two existing deteriorated side-by-side row houses to create six one-bedroom units.

The veterans will also receive support services, including continuing education referrals and vocational training.

This project is part of Gov. Kathy Hochul’s $25 billion housing plan that will build or preserve 100,000 affordable homes across the state.
