A man was seriously injured in a shooting in Amsterdam Police on Wednesday night.

The shooting took place around 7:20 p.m. on James Street, according to The Daily Gazette. The victim was taken by ambulance to Albany Medical Center. He was in serious condition.

The suspect fled the scene, police said.

No one is in custody.
