TSA urges people to know the rules before traveling for holidays

The Transportation Security Administration is preparing for a huge influx of travelers to be coming and going, and that's why the TSA is helping prepare you for those travels.

With the holidays quickly coming up, the Transportation Security Administration is preparing for the influx in travelers.

That’s why the TSA is helping prepare you for your travels.

When you go through airport security, there are certain items you cannot bring with you on a flight.

This includes items that could cause harm, like pepper spray, sharp objects, and firearms.

Also keep in mind, there are some items you can only pack in a checked bag, not your carry-on.

Officials also urge you to get to the airport two to three hours before your scheduled flight.

If you get there 45 minutes ahead of time, you run the risk of missing your flight.

Plus you still have to go through airport security, and the TSA cannot make exceptions if you are running late.
