A major milestone has been reached for a big construction project at Albany International Airport.

Airport leaders, construction partners, and local officials came out to watch the final steel beam of the highly anticipated Departure Hall be raised into place.

This is a $100 million project.

Departure Hall will serve as the main queuing area for flyers and security when it’s finished. It will also connect the north garage to the terminal.
