Rensselaerville fire under investigation

A fire in Rensselaerville is under investigation.

The fire happened just before 4:30 Tuesday afternoon in a cabin or guest cottage behind the main house in the area of Fox Creek Road.

Firefighters worked for almost three hours to completely put it out, investigators said.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation, but the fire may be related to a heating stove inside the home, investigators said.

No one was hurt and no one is homeless, investigators said.
