New executive director takes over Sand Lake Center for the Arts.

Local producer and actor Tanya Gorlow has been named executive director of the Sand Lake Center for the Arts by its Board of Directors.

Monday, Jan. 6 was her first day on the job.

Gorlow captivated the theater community in her regional debut as Lillian Hellman in “Little Wars” at SLCA last year.

She moved to the area in 2022, working as an executive producer for business development at Butcher Bird Studios.

Gorlow said she is thrilled to be able to take her professional and personal passion and experience, and lead SLCA to continued excellence as an artistic hub in a wonderful community.

Gorlow succeeds Brian Sheldon, who served as Executive Director since 2017.
