Christmas is in the rear-view mirror, but one local company is celebrating its customers, after a successful season of giving back.

Christmas is in the rearview mirror, but one local company is celebrating its customers, after a successful season of giving back.

Brown Transportation took part once again in the 9th Annual Random Santa Drop Off, a community-wide holiday toy drive serving families across Albany, Schenectady and Troy.

Working alongside the Schenectady Police Department, Schenectady Fire Department, and other local organizations, the program drove a Brown Transportation school bus to deliver toys to local families on Christmas Eve.

More than 2,500 families were served last year.

The company told NewsChannel 13 that this new year, the initiative blew past last year’s record, requiring two school buses to be filled – twice each – to accommodate all the donated gifts for families across the three cities.
