Two state lawmakers test positive for COVID after special session

Two state lawmakers who were at the Capitol for a special session on Wednesday have tested positive for COVID.

Assembly Speaker Carl Heastie says Assem. Charles Fall and Assem. Inez Dickens have coronavirus.

Both are vaccinated and are in quarantine.

The Assembly is now reaching out to other members who may have been in contact with them on Wednesday during the special session.

At this time, there are no reported cases in the New York State Senate.
