Niskayuna zombie house finally getting cleaned up

A long vacant property in Niskayuna that’s been an eyesore for years is getting some much-needed attention.
The Capital Region Land Bank will clean up the abandoned property at 1019 Van Antwerp Rd. It’s teaming up with the town of Niskayuna and Schenectady County.
Once spruced up, a decision will be made whether to tear the structure down or have a new owner renovate it.
New state laws clear the way for local governments to clean up so-called zombie properties, so foreclosures can proceed after just one year.
