Early morning fire breaks out at Colonie welding shop

Firefighters in Colonie spent the early morning hours fighting a fire that broke out at an old welding shop.

Crews responded to the scene of a fire at 18 Spruce St. shortly after 1:30 a.m. Monday.

The house next door to the property had some damage on the side.

While battling the fire there was a water main break in the area. Firefighters had to use a hydrant about a quarter mile from the scene.

No one was injured in the fire.
