The Collar City Clay Guild and their partners are raising money for programs in Troy to battle food insecurity.

They kicked off their Empty Bowls event Saturday to raise money for local food pantries.

Potters across the Capital Region make bowls to donate to the event. People can buy a bowl of their choosing for $20 and they can fill it up with soup donated from local restaurants.

The goal of the event is to help provide assistance to people struggling to feed their families. All of the money raised will be donated across 15 food pantries across Troy.

The event will continue for the next two Saturdays, October 9th and 16th, at the Troy Waterfront Farmers Market.
