17 La Salle Institute athletes sign letters of intent

It’s the time of year when high schools across the Capital Region honor their student athletes. La Salle Institute had a big signing on Tuesday.

Seventeen student athletes signed their national letters of intent across six sports, including four Division 1 scholarship players

They include Gitch Hayes the New York State Gatorade Player of the Year for Cross Country. He will attend North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

Dan Amasha will play football at Cornell, Eddie Yamin is headed for Dayton to play baseball, and Eddie Girtler is Siena bound for baseball.
