44th Freihofer’s Run for Women

The 44th Freihofer’s Run for Women returned to its usual spot, this year.
Nearly 2,000 women started the race Saturday morning in downtown Albany.
After going up Madison Avenue and through Washington Park, the lead group eventually headed for home and the kick back, down Madison Ave.
It was Allie Ostrander of Seattle who crossed the finish line first. She was 27 seconds ahead of the next women who would finish.
Ostrander’s winning time was 15 minutes and 48 seconds.
