Abandoned building on fire, fire chief says one person was inside

Fire crews in the city of Troy responded to a structure fire in the area of 126th Street and 2nd Avenue in Lansingburgh.

Troy Fire Chief Eric McMahon says a call came in shortly before 7 p.m. Wednesday for a vacant building on fire. He says someone was in the building, but they were able to get out safely.

There are no reported injuries, and the fire is still under investigation.

Police say drivers should keep clear of the area, and keep an eye out to be re-routed if they’re headed in that area.
