Albany City School District is switching to distance learning. They blame a dramatic rise in COVID cases since holiday break.

The district says all students were being sent home with Chromebooks and chargers on Wednesday.

They tentatively plan to bring students back in phases, starting Tuesday, Jan. 18.

Since Dec. 23, the district says there’s been an average of 21 new COVID cases each day.
