The Albany County Legislature will vote Monday night on a helmet law for electric scooters and bicycles.
Legislator Gary Domalewicz brought the law forward. He feels it will cut down on head injuries, and he says this local law comes with backing from the Brain Injury Association of New York state.
If people are not wearing a helmet while riding an electric scooter or bicycle, they could face a $100 fine.
