Albany County reports 400+ new COVID cases for second day in a row

The COVID surge continues nationwide and right here in the Capital Region.

In Albany County, 410 new cases were confirmed on Wednesday, bringing the number of active cases in the county to 1,202. This is the second day in a row new daily cases are above 400.

The number of people in quarantine rose to 2,181.

There are 60 Albany County residents hospitalized with COVID, a net increase of two people. Seven of them are in the ICU.

Fortunately there were no new COVID deaths.
