Albany County reports highest COVID hospitalizations since February

Albany County Executive Dan McCoy says there are 66 residents hospitalized with COVID. That’s the highest number since February 20.

McCoy says 70% of the hospitalized residents are not vaccinated, 3% are partially vaccinated and only 27% are fully vaccinated.

There are also 201 new cases to report in the county.

However, McCoy also noted Albany County’s most recent seven-day average of cases per 100,000 is now down to 47.7 and the Capital Region’s average of cases per 100,000 is now down to 58.6.
