Albany County woman celebrates her 108th birthday

ALBANY – Turning 108 years old is an incredibly rare milestone, but it’s one a Capital Region woman is celebrating.
A party was held for Millie Howarth on Friday morning at Shaker Place Rehabilitation & Nursing Center.
Her birthday is actually on Monday, June 13, but it’s never too early to celebrate.
Howarth’s niece remembers her aunt’s days as an active member of her church in Menands. Howarth also worked at Montgomery Ward for more than 30 years, and she loved to play lottery scratch-offs.
At 108 years old, she’s already hit the jackpot!
