The Albany International Airport is making it easier for electric vehicle owners to charge their vehicles.

The Airport Authority announced Tuesday it has 16 new fully operational charging stations. That brings the total number at the airport to 32.

There are 141 solar panels at the airport to help feed those charging stations.

Airport Authority CEO Philip Calderone says this is one way to help lower climate changing greenhouse gases and lessen the airport’s carbon footprint.
