Albany police investigating Saturday night homicide

Albany police are investigating after a man was shot and killed at a motel on Northern Boulevard late Saturday night.

Police responded to the Red Carpet Inn on Northern Boulevard for reports of a shooting around 11:40 p.m.

When officers arrived, they found 35-year-old Shawn Terry, of Rensselaer, with a gunshot wound to his chest. Terry was pronounced dead at the scene.

The Albany Police Department says the investigation is ongoing, and there’s no word on if any arrests have been made.
